About
Jamie Mahn
Thirty-five years on stage. Performances on four continents. And a gym full of students shouting "Berlin!" is still the best room there is.
Jamie Mahn is a Kitchener-raised musician who plays piano, accordion and trumpet live, and has spent most of his working life in front of audiences that didn't know what was coming next. He first brought music into Waterloo Region schools in the late 1990s, with school concerts, recorder lessons and classroom presentations, and ran an Oktoberfest school show in the region about twenty years ago.
For 2026 that show has been rebuilt from the ground up: live instruments, animated co-hosts on the big screen, the local history that explains why Kitchener throws its party every October, and a finale that gets faster every time through. The Christmas Sing-Along comes next.
In the gym, he's Mr. Jamie.
Everything on this site is one person. Jamie writes the shows, brings the sound, sets up, performs, and answers the email. If you book him, you get him.
On stage, in theatres, concert halls and now school gyms.
Continents performed on. The accordion has more stamps than most passports.
Instruments in every assembly: piano, accordion and trumpet, all played live.
Person to deal with. Jamie answers the email, confirms the date and runs the show.
Why schools
Engaging and educating students through live music
A good assembly does two things at once. It gets every student in the gym taking part, and it leaves them knowing something they didn't know when they walked in. Jamie's shows are built on that: live music they can feel through the floor, a story worth remembering, and participation from the first minute to the last.
He writes to the principal, not around them. The price is on the site, the logistics are on one page, and a date is held with a form that takes two minutes.
