The short version
MusicMahn is Jamie Mahn, a Canadian-born music professional with extensive international experience as a performer, music director and entertainment consultant. A seasoned multi-instrumentalist, he is proficient in piano, guitar, bass, saxophone, trumpet, flute, drums, clarinet, harmonica, accordion and trombone.
He has performed across North America, Europe and Asia in dueling piano bars, on cruise ships, in rock bands, solo acts, theatrical productions, corporate events and touring stage shows. His venue history includes piano lounges in Singapore, cruise theatres throughout Europe, dueling piano clubs across the U.S. and Canada, and entertainment hubs in the Netherlands and Southeast Asia.
At sea
Long-term contracts with major international cruise lines, performing request-based shows multiple nights a week. Sets built on piano, guitar, harmonica and vocals, improvised and adjusted in real time to crowd dynamics.
Launching venues
Founding performer at a major dueling piano venue in the U.S., contributing to operational launch, technical setup, show structure, performer onboarding and team leadership. He later brought those skills overseas to help open Southeast Asia's first dueling piano bar in Singapore, overseeing multilingual show components, technical implementation and stage design.
Directing the room
Entertainment director for several piano bar venues, managing performer rosters, nightly show execution, staff training and show content. Music director for a full-length Canadian stage revue: live arrangements, score rewrites, and a full ensemble cast and band. In Western Canada he led the entertainment strategy for a high-volume piano bar, combining on-stage performance with scheduling, technical oversight and promotion.
On the road
Over 5,000 piano shows across four continents and international waters, plus a national touring production developed and led throughout Canada and on cruise ships: artist management, logistics, technical production, client communication and performance delivery.
Today
MusicMahn continues to work globally as a performer, director and mentor. The combination of musical range, show leadership and production knowledge is what venues, agencies and producers book him for.
